A GYM in Newton-le-Willows is celebrating its first anniversary.
Newton Fitness, on Wargrave Road, is celebrating the milestone with an event on Saturday.
The day will see free protein shakes and a DJ on site, with both members and non-members invited to enjoy.
Stephen Tunstall, one of the directors at the gym, said: “It’s good; it’s been hard work and it’s still expensive at the moment, but it feels good.
“The gym’s coming on really well, we have a good clientele, and friendly atmosphere.
“We’re just trying to give something back a little and it should be a good day.
“We look forward to getting a few in and having a good time.”
Day passes will be available for non-members, with adult supervision needed for any children attending.
The fitness centre is also planned to receive further developments, with more equipment to be introduced.

Stephen added: “We wanted to develop after a year, but I think it’s going to be a bit longer.
“We still have quite a bit of space left in the building, in various rooms, so we will be buying more machinery and extending in the next six to 12 months.”
The centre will have its usual opening times on Saturday 8am-4pm.
For non-members hoping to attend the celebration, day passes are available to purchase for £2.50.
